Photoshop Gameday Preview - Ottawa @ Tampa

by Capital Gains

It's game day! The Sens are in Tampa to take on the Lightning tonight. Ottawa is coming into this game having just beaten the Capitals 2-0. The last meeting between the Sens and Lightning resulted in a 3-1 victory for Tampa, as Captain and Canadian Olympian Martin St. Louis scored two goals. Will the Lightning continue their success? Will Marc Methot improve his tan? Where is Brian Lee seated? Here are your story lines for tonight's game:

  • Marc Methot missed the last game due to a minor injury he sustained at practice. The last time the Sens were in Florida he had a case of the flu, so he took some time off to soak up some sun. Methot might be out of the lineup again tonight, so don't be surprised to see him back on the beach:

    • The Senators only managed to get one goal past former teammate Ben Bishop in their last meeting. Look for Cory Conacher, the player the Senators picked up in exchange for Bishop, to use that as motivation for a big game tonight:
"Shoot guys! I've got the goalie screened!"
      • Another former Senator, Brian Lee, is also part of the Tampa organization. He's on injured reserve, but he still goes to the games from time to time:
"I bet Kopitar can't get seats this close to the bench." You tell 'em, John!
        • Craig Anderson gets the start in goal for the tenth time in twelve games, which drew this reaction from Robin Lehner:
In Lehner's defense, he was also asked what he thinks of Anderson's cooking skills.
        • Zack Smith got into an altercation Tuesday night with the Capitals' Mikhail Grabovski. The ex-Leaf appeared to claw at Smith, resulting in the following damage:
"Oh these? Fight with Wolverine. Yeah, obviously I won."
          • Rumour has it that Sens' forward Matt Kassian will begin filming the very first episode for his new hit series, Man vs. Food: Pressbox Delicacies (tune in at 37:50!). The poster for the show has already leaked:
Let's see our 2014 6th-round pick eat this many burgers.
            Enjoy the game tonight!
