It's game day! The Senators are back in Ottawa to take on the Sabres again, trying to bounce back from their loss on Tuesday. Here are your story lines for tonight's game:
- Jared Cowen won't be in the lineup tonight as he has been suspended two games for his hit on Zemgus Girgensons.
- With Cowen out of the lineup, Eric Gryba is expected to draw back in, which should help if tonight's game goes to yet another shootout.
- Things were looking bright for Mike Hoffman when he was called up last week, but now that he's been sent back to Binghamton, the team has arranged more AHL-appropriate travel for him:
- Unless the Senators call up a forward today, Hoffman's demotion means Matt Kassian will avoid the press box for another game. Looks like tonight Matt will be crushing Buffalo players, not just Buffalo wings! Edit: J.G. Pageau and Cody Ceci were called up, so you might be lucky enough to bear witness to this:
- Finally, did you know Clarke MacArthur used to play in Buffalo? Even though Clarke can put a team on his back now, it used to be the other way around:
Enjoy the game tonight!
