Game Summary: Game 5 - Ducks flatten Sens 4-1; Paul MacLean not impressed

by Bonk's Mullet

I hope you didn't watch that one on a full stomach. The Senators weren't in Canada for Thanksgiving but they sure looked like a bunch of turkeys against Anaheim on Sunday night (thanks to Bonk's Mullet's mother for that joke). The Senators surrendered the most shots against in franchise history with 56 and tied for the second least amount of goals scored in franchise history with 1 (citation needed).

Turris and Ryan hooked up for a nice goal on the power play and Robin Lehner made about thirty thousand saves, but the Sens were outplayed from start to finish. Nothing much more to say about this one, so I'll let Paul MacLean summarize each period for us with his face.

1st Period

He doesn't blink once!

2nd Period

Manages to get some turkey out of his teeth here, but still no sign of blinking.

3rd Period

I would not want to be walking into that dressing room right now.

As you can see, the quality of my game summaries is highly correlated with the performance of the team. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
