This could really be the year, says everyone! So what can we expect from next month’s Senators training camp? Let’s find out!

Sens Collectors: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

By Kevin Lee

As an avid collector of Ottawa Senators memorobilia, I've decided to start a recurring feature on the blog to show off the various items that Sens fans own and treasure. Your collections can range from decorated rooms, to signed photos, to jerseys. I want to see them! Shoot me a tweet at @BringBackLee or an email to sensforlife11@hotmail.com and they will definitely be considered for future posts. I've already received an impressive wave of submissions. I've witnessed enough Sens merchandise to show you the good, the bad, and the ugly of people's collections.

Puck Daddy Summer Feature: Ottawa Senators, National Hockey League of Nations

by Bonk's Mullet and Ryan Classic

If you're coming from Puck Daddy, follow me on Twitter. If you're not coming from Puck Daddy, follow me on Twitter.

It would be fruitless to argue that the Ottawa Senators have as rich a history as their division rivals. If you take out your official copy of The NHL Board of Governors Atlas and take a look at the other seven teams scattered along the Atlantic coast, you’ll quickly spot four Original Six opponents in the proximity of Ottawa.

Despite the inability to draw in big name free agents, Ottawa’s all-time international team is as impressive as any. Thanks to prolific drafting and the development of young players within the organization, the Senators have managed to put together a solid international cast of characters.

More impressive in the team’s short history is the abundance of players who have ended their tenure in Ottawa on less than amicable terms with the team. In fact, this list of players could go pound for pound with Ottawa’s all-time team.

Grab a tissue as we walk down memory lane to revisit Ottawa’s International All-Scorn Team.

Sens Flashback: The Ottawa Palladium

by SensForLife11 (aka @BringBackLee)

Everybody knows the one thing that's always said about the Canadian Tire Centre: it's in the middle of nowhere. I live in Kanata and even I can't argue with that. It's positioned beside the 417, surrounded by farmland, an auto park and the "largest parking lot in Eastern Ontario." That's about it. However, Kanata itself has vastly developed since the arena was built; if you take a five minute drive away from the CTC you are right back in an urban environment. Unfortunately, the development has severely been lacking in nightlife entertainment, the result being nobody wanting to stay in Kanata after attending a game.

Silver Seven - Top 25 under 25. no 17: Jim O'Brien

by Bonk's Mullet

Let 2013 be remembered as the year Ottawa Senators fans met the real Jim O'Brien. In February 2012, the fine folks over at Silver Seven named O'Brien the 25th best Senator under 25. In January of this year, despite not having played a single game since our last rankings, O'Brien was pegged at number 21. After spending half of a shortened season as a healthy scratch, JOB was able to leapfrog Wikstrand, Claesson, and Petersson to land at number 17 on our prospects list (Silfverberg is gone if you're trying to do the math).

If the trend continues, expect Jim O'Brien to be the number one Senators prospect by the time you finish reading this article. But before we look ahead to the future, let's take a quick stroll down memory lane.

Transcript of Jason Spezza's Interview with the Team 1200

by Bonk's Mullet

Jason Spezza sat down with the Team 1200 to discuss Alfie's departure, Bobby Ryan's arrival, being left off Team Canada, and his increased motivation coming into to next season. Here's the full audio of the interview, but I've provided a transcript below for the hard of hearing. My thoughts are in bold. I was lazy to transcribing the questions, so forgive me on that one. I also removed almost every "y'know, I think" and giggle from the interview.

Ottawa Senators Off-Season Power Rankings - August 2013

by Chet Sellers

Dog days, man; dog days. It's August and Senators-related news has slowed to a weak trickle, which just means we here at RBM are working harder than ever to break the stories that matter. What's really going on off the ice? Who always looks like he just got out of the pool, even when he's completely dry? Who thought THAT shirt was a good idea? Let's find out!
